Knight Kids does not collect any data. The game runs entirely on your device, and it never sends anything anywhere.

What the app stores

Everything the app keeps is saved on your own device, in the app or in your browser's storage, and nowhere else:

• The nickname and emoji you pick for each player. We never ask for a real name, an email address, a photo, a birthday or an age.
• Finished games: the moves played, the result, the opponent level and the coach's comments on each move.
• Settings, such as whether sound is on.

Deleting the app, or clearing your browser's storage for this site, removes all of it. We keep no copy, because we never had one.

What the app does not do

• No accounts and no sign-in.
• No analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• No third-party software development kits of any kind.
• No purchases, and no links that take a child out of the game.
• No network requests. The chess engine and the coach both run on your own device, which is why the game works with no connection at all.

Children

Knight Kids is made for children, so it is built to need nothing from them. A child never signs in, never types anything but a nickname they choose, and nothing they do leaves the device. Because we collect no personal information at all, there is nothing for a parent to request, correct or delete from us.

If this ever changes

A future version may offer parents an optional account, so that a family can keep its games across several devices. It would be off unless a grown-up chose to turn it on, and this page would be updated to describe exactly what it stores before that version shipped.
